Estrid Ericson


Estrid Ericson (1894–1981) was a Swedish designer and entrepreneur, best known as the visionary founder of Svenskt Tenn, established in 1924. Ericson curated the brand’s distinct aesthetic, which became synonymous with Swedish interior design. Collaborating with renowned designers like Josef Frank, she introduced bold, imaginative patterns and high-quality craftsmanship. The “Elephant” and “Celotocaulis” textile patterns are notable examples, capturing her flair for mixing traditional Swedish elements with playful, cosmopolitan motifs
