Early production type 31/42 cantilevered armchair, originally designed for the Paimio Sanitorium. Laminated beech bentwood frame. Plywood and laminated Karelian birch seat. Ivorine Finmar tag. Designed in 1931/1932. Retailed in the UK by Finmar.
Patent application for Swedish patent on priority from England and Finmar 1933, probably on request from the well known co-owner of Finmar, architecture critic Philip Morton Shand. Patent No 91958 applied 8 of November 1933.
