Carl-Axel Acking

Carl-Axel Acking (1910–2001) was a prominent Swedish architect and designer whose work is notable for its refinement and functionality, hallmarks of mid-century Scandinavian design. Educated at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Acking's career was distinguished by a seamless blend of architecture and interior design. Among his most celebrated works are the Trienna chair and the interior design of the Swedish Embassy in Tokyo. He exhibited, among others, at the Paris World Fair in 1937.
