Maja Fjaestad (1873–1961) was a Swedish textile artist and painter who played a prominent role in the early 20th-century Arts and Crafts movement in Scandinavia. As a member of the Rackstad Colony, she was renowned for her intricate woven textiles, particularly her distinctive tapestries and tablecloths, which often depicted natural themes such as flowers and animals. Fjaestad’s work harmonized traditional Swedish craftsmanship with Art Nouveau influences, creating timeless designs characterized by their elegance, simplicity, and connection to nature.
