Branded with manufacturer's marks to the underside.
History:
Gerrit Rietveld designed the military stool originally in 1923 for
the Catholic Military Home in Utrecht. Originally, the pieces were produced in Rietveld's workshop. In the 1970s, cabinetmaker Gerard van de Groenekan was authorised to produce a limited amount of Rietveld's designs per year.
