“A Little of Everything”. Solid Brazilian rosewood with boxwood inlays. Circular wall bracket with inlaid monogram and swivel for adjustable arm with pleated Le Klint paper shade. Signed monogram 1955. Designed 1947.
Provenance: Previous owner's grandmother, Charlotte Rud, who was a friend and neighbour of Peder Moos and matron at Den danske Husflidshøjskole in Kerteminde, where Moos started teaching in 1956.
This lamp comes from a family who was part of Moos' life since his early youth and who was closely connected to his other vocation - teaching. Charlotte Rud's mother was Ingeborg Appel, teacher and later on matron at Askov Højskole, where Moos was a student before he commenced his education as a cabinetmaker.
Model presented at The Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark, 1947. Literature: Grete Jalk [ed.]: “40 Years of Danish Furniture Design”, vol. 3, p. 24–25.
