History:
'The Grasshopper' was Bruno Mathsson's first functionalist experiment and was designed for Värnamo lasarett's waiting room. In his search for a comfortable seating shape, Bruno Mathsson came up with this chair after he dropped into a snowdrift and studied the resulting seating curve. The chair was put back into production in 1992 and was then made in 100 copies.
