Early 'DAX' Chair

Moulded fibreglass, chromium plated steel, rubber. Underside with manufacturer's paper label Early example with rope edge. Plastic armchairs were first presented as part of the New York Museum of Modern Art competition "Low Cost Furniture Design". The organically shaped plastic seat shells were later combined with different bases and manufactured in millions.
