ALFRED GRENANDER

Nov 14 - Dec 24

Jackson Design in collaboration with Galerie Ulrich Fiedler are pleased to announce an exhibition of design masterworks by the Swedish architect Alfred Grenander. Grenander was born in Skövde, Sweden but spent most of his professional life in Berlin, Germany where he established a flourishing career at the turn of the 20th century. Largely known in Berlin for his subway and railway station and platform designs, he remains largely unknown and underappreciated internationally.

This exhibition will focus on a tightly curated selection of Grenander's furniture designs from circa 1904 -1909, an era widely regarded as his most fertile and ground breaking. Highlights include works from his personal summer house in Falsterbo, Sweden, the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Expo and the 1906 Arts and Crafts Exhibiton in Dresden, among others.

A film dedicated to the artist will be shown concurrently during the view. Drinks and canapés will be served.
