Urbano Zaccagnini


Urbano Zaccagnini (1906–2000) was an Italian designer and ceramist, although not directly associated with Scandinavian design, his influence and collaborations spanned across Europe, marking significant contributions to the mid-20th century ceramic arts. As the founder of Zaccagnini Ceramics in Florence, he was renowned for blending traditional Italian craftsmanship with innovative modernist designs. Among his celebrated works, the "Cosmic Dancers" series and the "Renaissance Revival" vases stand out for their intricate detailing and pioneering glazing techniques.
