Karl Lindström

1865-1936

Karl G.E. Lindström (1865-1936) was a Swedish ceramic artist. He started working as a porcelain painter for the factory Rörstrand in the year 1978, and became one of the factory's most valued artists. He decorated vases, urns and figurines created by his cousin Waldemar Lindström, or one of the other modellers. His inspiration came mostly from the natural world; his vessels being often decorated with motifs of birds, flowers, and leaves. His works are represented by, among others, the National Museum in Stockholm.
