Kaisa Melanton


The Swedish textile artist Kaisa Brita Melanton, can be seen as a pioneer of free textiles in Sweden. She was educated by among others, Barbro Nilsson, who served as a significant role model throughout her career. During her life she was commissioned to create works for churches, schools, authorities, and other public spaces. Her works are included in the collections of several museums, one of which the National Museum, Stockholm.
