Josef Ekberg

Josef Ekberg (1877–1945) was a master Swedish ceramist and designer, whose work at the Gustavsberg Porcelain Factory from the late 19th century until his death significantly influenced Scandinavian ceramic art. Renowned for his development of the sgrafitto technique and unique glazes, Ekberg's pieces are celebrated for their beauty and innovation. Among his most acclaimed works are the "Vas Blå" series, characterized by deep blue glazes that evoke the Swedish landscape, and his Art Nouveau vases, which feature intricate floral patterns.
