Ingrid Hellman-Knave

Ingrid Hellman-Knave (1920–2003) was a distinguished figure in Swedish textile design. The colors she used remind often of the colors and landscape forms of rural Sweden. she grew up in the city Kinna, an important textile city on the West coast of Sweden. Her rugs gained quickly attention. In the late 1930s, her studio wove rugs for Otto Schulz and later she showed her rug designs in Svenskt Tenn. This was the beginning of a nearly 20-year collaboration to produce carpets for Svenskt Tenn.
