Gertrud Lönegren

1905-1970

Gertrud Lönegren (1905-1970) was a Swedish ceramist and designer. She studies in Stockholm and in Vienna. After, she worked as a designer at St. Erik's Clay Factory in Uppsala, during the period 1932-1936. Later, she worked for Rörstrands Porselinsfabric in Lidköping, where she stays until 1941. At Rörstrands she worked mainly with utility and the art ceramics. Amongst her most known works are the 'Kreta' and Blache dishes. Today, she is represented by museums such as Röhsska Museum.
