Claes Thell (1943-2019) was a Swedish ceramist. He is known for his experimentation with various glazes. He worked at the Höganäsbolaget's Metallurgical Laboratory. His production consisted of sculptures, ornaments, and decorative objects, most of them unique.

Claes Thell began his career in ceramics from the age of 15, eventually working at Höganäsbolaget's Metallurgical Laboratory. He founded the group Keramikerna with his brother Bo and Henning Nilsson, Yngve Blixt. Brita Mellander-Jungermann and Ann Jansson. Works by Claes Thell are retained in the permanent collection of the National Museum, Stockholm amongst others.
