Arthur Percy

1886-1976

Arthur Percy (1886-1976) was a Swedish artist and designer whose influence on the art deco movement in Swedish ceramics is well-regarded. As the artistic director at Gefle Porslinsfabrik, his designs achieved international recognition at the 1925 Paris Exhibition, epitomizing the Swedish grace period. His works, including the "Tre blommor," "Exotica," and "Blå/röd vinranka" patterns, as well as the "Vinranka" serveware, became synonymous with Swedish design excellence. Percy's legacy is preserved in his contributions to making artistically superior utility items accessible in Swedish homes.
