Anne-Mari Forsberg

1916-1992

Ann-Mari Forseberg (1916-1992) was a Swedish textile artist. She studied at the Higher School of Industrial Arts (HKS), a department of the Technical School, where Ann-Marie Forsberg was taught by Barbro Nilsson. After her studies, she began working with the Märta Måås-Fjetterström's workshop, where her teacher Barbro Nilsson was now the artistic director. Ann-Marie and a fellow student, Marianne Richter, were hired to submit proposals for textile works that could be made in the company's weaving studios. Her works are poetic, and woven in light, bright colors. She is presented in several museum collections, including the Nationalmuseum, Stockholm; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; and the Kunstindustrimuseet, Oslo.
