Design Basel is a marketplace for design presenting objects from the advent of Modernism (circa 1900) to the present day. The most reputable international design galleries present curated exhibitions of museum-quality furniture, lighting and objets d’art, attracting both private and public collectors.

No. 5748. Alvar Aalto sculpture "The palette of the king". Designed in 1955. Laminated wood and sculptural bronze base.

No. 5625. Alvar Aalto Prototype Lamp. White painted metal and brass. Designed in 1958 for the art dealer Louis Carré. An original copy of the drawings is included, lamp drawings for Maison Carré.

No. 5739. Set of 10 Hans J. Wegner "Cowhorn" Chairs. Frame of oak, back with visible joints. Seat with woven cane. Model JH-505. Made by cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen. 1950s.

No. 5740. Kaare Klint "Fauborg Chair". Mahogany frame. Seat and back of cane. Designed in 1916 and produced by Rud Rasmussen.

No. 5743. Tove/Edvard Kindt-Larsen. Walnut Coffee Table. Provenance: Previously in the Kindt-Larsen family collection.

No. 5746. Asplund Wall Mirror. Made for the dressing rooms at Bredenbergs department store in Stockholm 1933 - 35. Only eight mirrors produced. Frame of Leather. 1933.
