The Kindt-Larsen couple wrote down a few thoughts about the construction of the chairs on the published sketch drawings for the chairs: “The easy chairs are made as special "fireplace chairs" with a significantly lower seat than usual, which provides the right position relative to the fireplace, from which you can watch the flames flicker agains the back of the fireplace”.
